Lovely staff and first class eye test with clear explanations as to what they were all for. After 2 years of an incorrect eye test elsewhere I decided to book with Valarie Jerome. I now have a pair of glasses that are perfect and had a refund from the other optician's. Thank you Valarie​​​​​​​

I found the team to be very welcoming. I felt comfortable during my visit. I liked how all the tests were explained to me and the same with the results. It was so helpful to think about my job and the best options of glasses for working online. Without doubt the best customer service experience I have ever had. After visiting a few other opticians on the hunt for appropriate glasses for my two year old, I finally came across Valerie Jerome Optometrists. Immediately we received a totally different level of service, with true care for what was appropriate for my little girl. On multiple occasions during the process the entire team went way above and beyond for us, not settling until we were totally satisfied and comfortable with our choices. In addition both Valerie and Gina came in to help us when they were on annual leave so that we could get our daughters glasses before we went on holiday. I could not be more grateful, and am just totally blown away by how incredible Valerie, Gina and Marie have been. We will be customers for life!

I would recommend Valarie Jerome Optometrists to anyone who wears glasses. Having worn glasses since I was 10, over the years I've seen a few optometrists and Valarie is by far the best I've ever met. The services offered are amazing and Valarie is so friendly, helpful and brilliant at explaining all the tests, results and options. Also being dyslexic this is the first optometrist where I've been able to have a test for Irlen syndrome and identifying which colour filter aids me. And what a difference it makes! Using a filter on my laptop for work the first day made such a difference in stabilising text that I actually felt a bit dizzy. But the brain is so adaptable and now I'm reading more proficiently than any time in my life. As my current role involves mostly reading, this is a huge relief and has reduced headaches and the fatigue of reading when the text is visually bouncing around. I appreciate some question the validity of using colour filters, but for me it's been an incredible improvement. Thank you to everyone at Valarie Jerome.

I switched to Valarie from a chain optician 3 years ago, mainly because I wanted to support a local business but also because of their support for our local Soup Kitchen clients. It’s been a complete revelation! Personal advice rather than trying to sell lots of additions which can double the price of glasses. Suggested varifocals initially but on discovering I’ve a cataract (due to their diligence), told me to stick with my existing glasses and get off the shelf reading glasses until after it’s been resolved. 100% recommend

I recently made my first visit to Dr Valerie Jerome for an eye test, this took just over an hour to complete. Valerie took the time to explain everything about my test and what it meant about my eye health. There was absolutely no hint of being rushed at all, I felt like a respected patient who deserved consideration and thought. I did need new glasses and chose to have new frames as well, these were rimless and very light, perfect ! Although more expensive than I was expecting, they are absolultely worth every penny. My visit was very much a "private practice" experience, so different to the norm and well worth the change. Highly reccomended, five stars well deserved.
