About Valarie Jerome Optometrists

History
Valarie Jerome Optometrists was founded by Dr. Valarie Jerome in 2019. After moving to the UK from the US, Dr. Jerome worked at various opticians in the Newbury area. After a few years, Dr. Jerome realized she needed to spend more time with patients and wanted to offer a higher level of service to those in the Newbury area. Opening the first private independent opticians in Newbury, Dr. Jerome was keen on offering more than just a standard “sight test”. Since opening, Valarie Jerome Optometrists has grown to be a well-respected, innovative practice serving those in the Newbury area and beyond. In 2020, Small Business Britain named our practice in the Top 100 Small Biz UK list, and in 2021, Dr. Jerome was named in the Top 100 UK Female Entrepreneurs list.

In our relaxed boutique-style setting, you will find the service to be of the highest quality in a non-rushed environment. We cater to all patients of all ages and adapt our services for those with any disabilities. Many specialized services are offered in our practice that are not found at a typical optician. Our new Eye Spa is designed to give long-term solutions to those with dry eyes.
